About the Altar Tools shelf
An altar is a working surface before it is anything else. The pieces on this shelf are the ones that take the wear: cast iron cauldrons that hold a charcoal disc without complaint, brass chalices, athames meant for directing rather than cutting, bells, tiles, and the cloths that go under all of it. Most are heavier than they look in the photograph, which is the point. A cauldron that skates across the table when you set a candle in it is a cauldron you stop using.
We stock the sizes practitioners actually reach for, not the decorative ones. A three-inch cauldron for loose incense, a six-inch for burning petitions, a chalice in brass, a bell that rings clean. Read the measurements on each piece; a photo flatters everything.
Cast iron wants a wipe of oil now and then. Brass wants nothing but use.
