About the Books shelf
A shelf of books is the part of the practice that outlasts the candles. Ours leans on the writers practitioners keep going back to: Cunningham for herbs and solitary work, the Farrars for the structure of a coven year, Buckland for the fundamentals, and a run of Llewellyn and Weiser titles on tarot, runes, planetary magic, and folk practice. We carry the books we would lend, and skip the ones we wouldn't.
Alongside the reading are the books meant to be written in: leather journals with latches, blank grimoires with handmade pages, and the smaller notebooks that live in an altar drawer for recording what was burned, when, and what came of it. A record kept for a year teaches more than most manuals.
