About the Candles shelf
Most of the work done in this shop starts with a candle, so this is the shelf we mind closest. Chime candles by the box for quick, single-purpose burns. Six-inch household tapers in the traditional colors. Seven-knob candles for work that runs a week, jar candles that burn five to seven days, and figural candles, cats and skulls and human forms, for the older styles of working.
Color follows the usual correspondences, and we say so on each page: white for clearing and blessing, black for banishing, red for heat, green for money, purple for power. Sizes are exact in the description; a half-inch chime and a three-quarter-inch household candle need different holders, and the holders are on this shelf too.
Never leave a burning candle alone. The old practitioners didn't either.
